# Quality Control & QA: Material is quarantined until QC approves it

> Quarantine-gated release, stage QA and FG QA.

Laboratory testing of incoming material against the tests allocated to each item, controlled release into stock, in-process QA between production stages and finished-goods QA before anything can be sold.

## Capabilities

- **Test definitions & allocation**: Define a test once (abbreviation, standard value, RM/FG use) and allocate it per product with standard value, lower/upper limit and stage number. Excel bulk import for both.
- **Result entry per batch**: Assay %, QC number, supplier CoA reference, analysis and re-analysis dates, containers and a result for every allocated test.
- **Mandatory tests**: An inspection cannot be saved until every allocated test is present, and cannot be approved while any result is blank.
- **Sampling step**: Sample quantity from the item's sample %, with an optional Sample Received gate before approval.
- **Quarantine → release**: Material only becomes stock on a GRN raised against an approved Quality Inspection. Rejected quantity leaves on an outward gate pass.
- **In-process QA**: Stage QC worklist with partial release or reject; the next stage is blocked until QA releases, and a producer cannot release their own stage.
- **Finished-goods QA**: Approve or reject quantity per batch; release posts the stock and the production voucher.
- **Named approvals on prints**: QC reports and sample requisitions carry Analysed / Checked / Approved By names.

## Controls the system enforces

- No stock before QC release: a GRN needs an approved inspection
- No skipped tests: approval is blocked while any result is blank
- No self-release: the person who produced a stage cannot release it
- Finished goods cannot be sold before FG QA
