# Finance & Multi-Unit: A ledger that fills itself from operations

> Automatic vouchers, books per unit, inter-unit control.

Double-entry general ledger where most vouchers post themselves from operational documents, with check-approve-post control, budgets, banking, and separate books per business unit with maker-checker inter-unit fund transfers.

## Capabilities

- **Automatic vouchers**: Posted from sale invoices and returns, purchase invoices and returns, GRN accruals, material issues, transfers, stock adjustments, FG QA release, bills of entry, debit/credit notes, fixed-asset events and the HRMS salary journal. Automatic voucher types cannot be keyed by hand.
- **Check → Approve → Post**: Single or bulk, with role-wise approval amount limits per voucher type.
- **Cash, bank & cheques**: Payment and receipt vouchers with invoice matching; cheque realisation, replacement, deposit and printing; bank guarantees and e-stamps.
- **Bank reconciliation**: Manual clearing per unit with a reconciliation statement.
- **Budgeting**: Yearly budget per account by month, cost centre, project and unit, with a Budget vs Actual report.
- **Business units**: Every transaction tagged to a unit with its own documents and voucher numbers; users see only the units they are entitled to.
- **Inter-unit fund transfer**: Draft → Submitted → Approved → Posted → Receipt Confirmed → Reconciled, posting one voucher in each unit, with reversals, proof attachments and a full activity trail.
- **Cross-unit receipts**: One unit banks a customer payment that belongs to another; both units post and the owner knocks the invoices.
